Anybody who has turned on Travel Assist without the capacitive steering wheel, how bad is it really? How often does it "ping" you?
I've had an A4 and currently in an MG5, both with "Travel Assist" and both without a capacitive steering wheel, so I'm pretty used to it and used to having to give the wheel a wiggle. I presume as I can turn it off easily there's no real disadvantage in enabling it anyway?

I've got and old (v1) ODB11 unit. Managed to make a couple of changes to my 3.2 car in 5A, but I don't believe that one is SPF protected.

Any apps or adaptations I try on SPF units such as gateway I get either unknown error or SPF failed.
Tried hood open and both front passenger seatbelts fastened bit no difference
Any suggestions?

I got the same error message, I checked out the FB group of OBD11 and a lot of people are reporting the same error. Seems like there is a problem with their servers. Let's see what happens after the weekend when OBD11 are back to work.
I didn't check the FB group, as it was the first time I'd tried programming the ID.4 so presumed it was an issue with that.
Thanks so much for the response, will wait and see what they say.

There's a theory circulating (this is just a theory) that VAG have kicked ODB11 out of access from the SPF codes. If this is the case then ODB11 is pretty much useless on our vehicles now.
Hoping that it's not the case obviously.

can you share little bit more info about TA activation?
So if you've not got Travel Assist currently installed then you can enable it quite easily, this is in A5 so not an SPF protected module.
I've also tried enabling assisted lane changing, as I believe I have the sensors for it, but have not been able to enable this.
A lot of people say that it's between annoying and useless as without the capacitive wheel you have to "wiggle" the steering every 30 seconds or so, my last two cars (A4 and MG5) were the same and this car is better as it gives you a couple of completely silent warnings before it starts actually binging and doing interventions.
I'm looking at getting a capacitive wheel as some people have replaced them, but they're around £1,000 brand new.

there is also an addition to that theory that they never had official SFD unlock and always spoofed the requests using dealer logins. because few days ago VAG did some modifications and some so called "dealer login" services was broken as well. but yes, it's just a theory ☺
It might be that the VAG servers had blown up, taking down official ODB11 and also the dealer logins at the same time - but if that was the case then OBD11 would just blame VAG you'd have thought.

mm, mine is a chinese car, so TA probably is somewhere but disabled. can you share adaptations or long codings for TA? wheel is capacitive.
So this is what I changed in the end;

HC point of intervention: late → early_setting_over_menu
Byte 7 bit 1–3: Emergency assist variante: Not_coded → Ea_variante_2
Byte 8 bit 3–6: HC variante: Hc_variante_0 → Hc_variante_2

I actually changed emergency assist to not_coded in the end, but would have it on ea_variante_2 for the capacitive wheel.

people receiving emails that problem will be resolved next Monday :)
This is the latest from the forum

"The issue is still in progress, we are expecting a release anytime now, but it could be that can happen only on Monday (2023/06/19), unfortunately."

It's frustrating, but at least it'll be resolved. I want to change the umber of "blinks" to 4 - which means factory reset the head unit, so trying to put off setting too much up currently.

No, the adapter I have is about 3 years old. And is still supposed to work from reading their site and here.
I'm using the old adapter, apart from the SPF unlock issues everyone had, I've had zero problems.
Make sure the trunk is open, seatbelt on, doors closed and ignition running. I've heard all of these potentially causing issues.

Slightly bad news - for some reason I cannot backup Module 01 (Engine) although I can access it. All my usual "tricks" failed. This means that I can't do a full backup as it fails.
However I've backed up what I think are the likely modules, if you want any others then let me know. I'll DM you the raw backup.

I have a 2023 Id.4 RWD ProS. I still have my first gen ODBEleven Pro, has anyone successfully used the firstgen ODBEleven with a 2023 3.1version? I plugged it in and it appears to see all the modules but doesn't identify the make and model.
My first gen works fine.
I've got a 2023 German built model with 3.2 installed.
I'd imagine it's more likely that OBD11 doesn't recognise your VIN, possibly a format change.
