Here is SFD unlock status link from OBDELEVEN team

This problem is perfectly timing out with me bringing my ID4 home from the 3.1 upgrade. I thought I'd broken something. Thanks for posting this.

My guess is that an API was changed without prior notice, or perhaps a security certificate expired.

Sometimes, it’s mostly fix testing that’s the reason behind holdups. You don’t want to create new bugs while fixing an old one.

Hmm, odbeleven say it's compatible and it's enabled Travel Assist OK. I think it's just the server issues to be honest.
can you share little bit more info about TA activation?
There's a theory circulating (this is just a theory) that VAG have kicked ODB11 out of access from the SPF codes. If this is the case then ODB11 is pretty much useless on our vehicles now.
Hoping that it's not the case obviously.
there is also an addition to that theory that they never had official SFD unlock and always spoofed the requests using dealer logins. because few days ago VAG did some modifications and some so called "dealer login" services was broken as well. but yes, it's just a theory ☺

So if you've not got Travel Assist currently installed then you can enable it quite easily, this is in A5 so not an SPF protected module.
I've also tried enabling assisted lane changing, as I believe I have the sensors for it, but have not been able to enable this.
A lot of people say that it's between annoying and useless as without the capacitive wheel you have to "wiggle" the steering every 30 seconds or so, my last two cars (A4 and MG5) were the same and this car is better as it gives you a couple of completely silent warnings before it starts actually binging and doing interventions.
I'm looking at getting a capacitive wheel as some people have replaced them, but they're around £1,000 brand new.

It might be that the VAG servers had blown up, taking down official ODB11 and also the dealer logins at the same time - but if that was the case then OBD11 would just blame VAG you'd have thought.

mm, mine is a chinese car, so TA probably is somewhere but disabled. can you share adaptations or long codings for TA? wheel is capacitive.

well i'm on the side of the theory that OBD11 does not have official rights to unlock SFD and spoofing. API changes can't take more then few hours to restore the functionality

Obdeleven is officially supported by VW and it has to follow VW guidelines.
When you using obdeleven app and working on vehicle ( especially SFD UNLOCK) your app is mirrored directly from VW server....and VW collect all information on changes and modifications.
Ross-Tech.com is in the work to become officially supported by VW.

okay, I believe in your words because I'm following your posts here for 6 months and understand your competence.
the question is: why following the guidelines produced almost 1 week downtime for SFD?
N.B. I'm a CTO in IT company and I deeply imagine how software developers usually receive fresh guidelines from partners services and how they should implement them :)

So this is what I changed in the end;

HC point of intervention: late → early_setting_over_menu
Byte 7 bit 1–3: Emergency assist variante: Not_coded → Ea_variante_2
Byte 8 bit 3–6: HC variante: Hc_variante_0 → Hc_variante_2

I actually changed emergency assist to not_coded in the end, but would have it on ea_variante_2 for the capacitive wheel.

This is a question that I'm not in power to discuss publicly.
It will get resolved soon..... Whenever there is update on VW side for ODIS tool users.... obdeleven will be next in line for needed changes and modifications to the source code and phone app.

people receiving emails that problem will be resolved next Monday :)
This is the latest from the forum

"The issue is still in progress, we are expecting a release anytime now, but it could be that can happen only on Monday (2023/06/19), unfortunately."

It's frustrating, but at least it'll be resolved. I want to change the umber of "blinks" to 4 - which means factory reset the head unit, so trying to put off setting too much up currently.

This thread is super helpful. I was ready to pull the trigger on an OBDEleven Pro subscription, but will be waiting this out.
