i just tried to share my experience

OBDeleven vehicle history log

Car: Volkswagen ID.4
Year: 2021

device: OBDeleven from amazon PRO version. $120
OBDeleven OBD2 Diagnostic Tool Scanner for Audi Seat Cupra Skoda Volkswagen BMW Mini (Android & iOS, Next Gen Starter Pack)
then i bought the PRO upgrade through the app ($50)
when using apps 10 credits are $1.99
adaptations and long coding is free

first i had the generation one dongle ($40) but there i could not see all modules - so i returned it.
i bought the PRO upgrade for that one but still some modules where not there.
the PRO upgrade was then automatically applied to the nextgen dongle.

the customer support for OBDeleven i would say is crappy - you only can talk to a bot and it takes many hours or 1 day to respond vaguely.
because i could not see the some modules the bot told me it coudl enable the other modules but by then i had it already returned.

so maybe that would have been cheaper ($40+$50=$90)
i paid now $120+$50=$170 :(



these mods clearly made me happier with my car
i hope we can extend this list for more useful features.
sadly, i have not found the ejection seat feature yet (c'mon bond had this long ago in the car)
or enable the star rating for feedback to VW :)

for OBD11 i wish a feature that produces a log of ALL available adaptations and long codes

tip from Pascal: to put it into effect you need to REBOOT the infotainment system:
hold dowm the ON/OFF button (bottom left on consol) for like 30sec then screen gets black and reboots

what else i am looking for:

1. set default for drive mode D or B
2. which feature sets the EXTENDED PERIOD miles? we know now it resets after 10000km.
it really should be a running average with programmable length.
3. change delay time for door lock.
4. Delay radio turn off for a few seconds when moving out of car or lift butt. For not heavy people one gets on/off just by moving the but around.
5. i wish the freeways and highways would not look like rivers (blue) on the navi map, who comes up with such a grandious idea?

6. change outside color of the car (everyday a new color and could also irritate police :) )

That's why I placed a 4G amplifier / receiver in the garage.
In the driveway I have 1 line of reception and when I enter the garage I immediately have full range in the car and smartphone.
Safe when using Obdeleven and with OTA updates I no longer have to search for a good range.

module 8125 > adaptations > search for "pso" and disable all, then restart the head unit. it also can appear in 5F

Most of coding or one click app will not be visible if hood is not open

I'm getting bombarded with people who can't make obdeleven work.
Another thing to remember
Whenever using obdeleven for coding make sure you have good internet connection or Wi-Fi connection. Obdeleven depends on internet traffic connection, especially if going behind firewall and doing some changes.
Obdeleven is very complicated and very powerful tool, so some steps should be always followed.
For testing out internet connection you can use any ping app and ping Google server or something of your own choice. Once stable internet connection is confirmed, then start playing with obdeleven.

Can I Ask You A Question? Sorry, If Possible, It’s Not Appropriate, I Just Want To Start Encoding With OBD11 Gen 2 - Safe.

I Wanted To Ask You For Steps - Sorry, I Didn’t Understand What It Means 10 A, And 12 V, For The Battery.

Step 1 - Open The Hood. (And Another Question, Excuse Me, Should The Car Be Started? Are The Doors Open Or Closed? And Are The Belts Fastened Or Not?

Step 2 - Connect The OBD11 Gen2 Device?

Step 3 - Do You Need To Connect The Car To The Charging Station? And Wait A Couple Of Minutes? And I Didn’t Understand About 10 A. (And About 12 V Battery).

Sorry Dear VW TECHNICIAN, If The Questions Are Banal, I’m Just A New OBD11 Gen2 User, And The VW ID4 CROZZ PRO (CHN IMPORT) Machine. And I Would Like To Treat It Carefully And Safely.

@Haroyan777 VW Technician has advised in the past that during ODB11 use you should have your 12 volt battery hooked up to a battery charger...like one you would use for any lead acid 12 volt car battery. During (some) programming, the car's high voltage battery doesn't provide power to the 12 volt to keep it charged. Even if your car is plugged into the EVSE, that won't always provide power to the 12 volt....so there's no benefit/need to have the EVSE plugged in. The 10 amp minimum comment is for the minimum rating for the 12 volt battery charger.

You should follow obdeleven forum for your obdeleven needs.
Obdeleven is not a tool for someone that has no knowledge about specific service procedures....
If you really want to learn....you will need erWin subscription also to become familiar with ID4 vehicles.

I have searched and searched, but cannot find how to change this with OBD eleven:

1. Change value for cruise control speed increase/decrease when hard press/swipping. (default is 10).
2. How to enable taillights with daytime running lights. Right now tailligts only turn on then dark/darker.

I'm not sure 1 is possible. It seems like you're already aware, but if you lightly push you can have it do smaller increases/decreases.

For number 2, This mod was relatively easy to do with OBDELEVEN Pro subscription, I can't speak to how well their credit-based app works for the Scandinavian tail lights.
