I may have missed it somewhere in this discussion but an issue I have with the Weathertech liners is cleanability. I have used WT liners for many years in many cars and they do a good job of floor protection. However, I have found that probably due to the hard plastic and fine texture of the material they are very difficult to clean, even with a good scrub brush. I especially noticed this when I cleaned the rubbery mats that came with my ID.4 (option). They easily come totally clean with no residue as happens with the Weathertech. I am guessing that the Lasfits, due to their different material also cleanup easier and better than the Weathertechs.

I got a pair of LasFit for mine, no obnoxious odor after installing, fit very well and don't feel slippery when they get wet (Pacific NW rain will guarantee they get wet).
Also, when I ordered mine i got 35% off, not intentional just worked out that way. If you've never ordered from LasFit before, do this:
  • waiit for them to go on sale
  • fill out your order completely but do not finalize it
  • wait 1 day for an e-mail from LasFit about your incomplete order which for me contained another discount code for 1st time buyers that stacks with the sale price
  • save more...
After 2 weeks, I'm very happy with them.

Had Lasfits for about six weeks. we've had lots of snow and mud recently and they work well to keep stuff off the underlying carpet. Really like how tight the fit is against the door step. No smell when new. Got them on 30% discount which was nice.

Also have MuddyBuddy (WeatherTech) trunk liner with seat back extensions. Very stiff in the cold and the 2/3 side of the seat extension will not stay fully attached to the seat back, probably because of the stiffness at the "hinge" and inadequate sized velcro attachments. The 1/3 side is fine. Really like the raised lip around the perimeter, good for keeping melted snow inside the liner. Also no smell when new.

Yeah, I was able to get the sale price of $129.99 minus another 10%, plus GA tax, with free shipping. I just left the LasFit ID.4 Mats webpage open in my browser, and the first-time buyer 10% off coupon showed up after a while. I like the Lasfit mats so far -- fit perfectly with no odor.

I want to build on @CiTY HuNTeR's super useful comparisons of LASFITs, Weathertech and TGBROS. As of 2/2023 a new Amazon seller, "Naibeve," are selling a new set of ID.4 TPE mats.

I did close compares of the LASFIT and Naibeve and went with the Naibeve. I didn't test anything long-term but here's reasons I kept the Naibeve:
  1. Material & texture - The Naibeve seem a bit lighter than LASFIT by weight but they are meaty with comfortable grip. The Naibeve are rubbery TPE, not the plasticky TPO of Weathertech and the Naibeve are strong enough to hold their structure. For the rear seats, CiTY HuNTeR noted he actually preferred the rigidity of Weathertech to the softer LASFIT. The Naibeve seem rigid enough and don't shift or deform under weight.
  2. Front Coverage - For the fronts, the Naibeve are longer than the LASFITs. I especially like the extra coverage in the front passenger toe box and under the brake/accelerator for the driver.
  3. Rear Coverage - For the rears, the Naibeve fully wrap the corner closest to the door where the LASFIT have zero coverage. Weathertech has some coverage but not as much as the Naibeve.
  4. Tread pattern/height - The main tread patterns on the Naibeve seem fine, no odd edges that catch shoes (though see below on the retention "pegs").
  5. Appearance - I think the overall look of the Naibeve is more neutral. I don't like the big centered logo of the LASFIT and they have an arguably busier pattern.
Possible Naibeve cons:
  1. The Naibeve front mats have clunky raised "pegs" for the retention clips at the corners, LASFIT anchors are much more flush. I can slightly feel the pegs but they weren't clear deal-breakers. I'll live with them a while to judge.
  2. The finish level of the LASFITs is very high and they were uniformly flat. The Naibeve had a few areas of slight warping but not in critical spots, at least not in the set I received. But the LASFITs seem a notch above the Naibeve in overall QC.
  3. The LASFIT have a beveled rim that makes them low-profile at the edges. The Naibeve have a more rolled edge that isn't quite as nice.

Thanks for this fantastic comparison. I went with the lasfit (and muddybuddy truck with the seat back covers) and am very happy with the decision. I had not even seen these back when I ordered my lasfits last year, not sure they were available yet?

Agree with many of your assessments. I think the lasfits fit a little nicer based on your pictures, and the buttons are far better. I personally prefer the design of the ribs etc on the lasfit as well, but wish they had omitted the brand logo. On the other side of the equation, love the extra coverage of that little spot in the back and further up behind the pedals etc in front. One of the main reasons I went lasfit over the ID.4 ones from VW was this coverage (and cleanability does not look great with that diamond pattern on the ID.4 branded ones). Those are both welcome.

I think the slightly off fit in a few places, the rolled lip, and the buttons would kill this brand for me, but I do appreciate some of those other details.
