The new Supercharger station near me shows up in the iPhone app as a charging destination. It has Magic Dock adapters but I couldn't get it to work last week. Maybe if I navigate to it via the car all sorts of magic will happen??? :ROFLMAO:

It says in the description that its an OTA. They seem to still not have their myVW app categories working right.
I noticed exactly the same thing on myVW app today. It is showing as a service campaign under recalls. I just went to the car and it is not showing up on mine yet.

If 3.8.11 is already a thing in Europe, doubtful it contains anything related to Supercharger.
OTA 3.8.1 is a thing. Also 3.8.2 to fix a specific charging issue at the shop is a thing.

Futher OTA ”being prepared” popped up on certain databases in September, but contents of were not available and no official word.

Never heard of 3.8.11.

Edit: found it, it’s actually 3.8.3. ”Contact your dealer” just means you can ask questions. It’s still OTA.

Yep, gotcha, thanks for the clarification. I was 0.01 off! So close... ;)

Of course US being taken straight to the eleventh version of 3.8 when EU is on the first, some on the second and waiting for the third… would be a change.
Mine says 3.8.11. Maybe 3.8.4 through 3.8.10 were failed during testing phase and never released? Or maybe they are continuing with giving the US very different version numbers for almost the same release as the EU. If you look at the description of 3.8.1 that I posted above and the US 3.8.11 description in the OP it matches almost entirely point by point. Except the EU says "coolant filling level display" and the US says "refrigerant display", and I think the EU has a more correct translation.

All the US OTA have been .11 or higher. Maybe they use the extra digit to distinguish between NA and EUR versions.

It's true we have coolant but the coolant doesn't really relate to the air conditioning system. I would bet that this is just a weak translation and that in the context of AC, "coolant" really means "refrigerant" as it was translated in the N. American notification.

The German Kühlmittel can be translated either as coolant or refrigerant.
I just picked up an EV9 so I’ve been lurking the Kia forums. They’re fine but the ID4 forum is consistently top notch. Sophisticated German disambiguation to explain away anomalies. Great stuff here folks.

No. It includes only the bug fixes shown in the OP. It looks like that feature is only for software 4.0 and higher, available only on 2024+ cars.
Correct. I was browsing the German site last night - people were asking the same thing. But they only got to 3.8.1. This is what I mean about our numbering system being a little weird - it doesn't really line up with what they are using in Europe. Even without this, the only likely differences are bugfixes of one sort or another.

Earlier in the year when the ability to do OTA updates became available, you had to choose via the MyVW App if you wanted to install the recommended OTA update which in my case was 3.5.10 and 3.5.11. Once you chose to update, the MYVW App showed that you were in cue for the update to install. In my case the dealer did a service appointment update to 3.5 to satisfy one of the open recalls and as a result the OTA updates for 3.5.10 and 3.5.11 never occurred and the MYVW App still shows those two updates as still being requested.

With 3.8.11 OUE7 is shows as an active service campaign on the MYVW App but so far there is no way to request or accept the update to put your car in cue for the update to be done OTA. The wording as part of the Service Campaign states the "code being applied to vehicles that will be receiving an OTA update."

As a result of the above is it safe to assume the OTA update will happen automatically without having to request it via the MYVW App or will the App need yet another revision to request the 3.8.11 update in order to be placed in cue?

Just noticed this on MyVW app for an OTA 3.8.11. Wonder how long it’ll take for this to install.

Probably will take months just like the last update. I hope not but that’s the way it seems to be going. Hopefully it fixes the Informant screen from constantly resetting

Agreed, with 3.5.11 the in-service recall notice came first, even though the procedures document described an OTA. It took a while for the OTA to be announced in-app, and then when longer before the OTA rolled out. Lots of discussion how nonsensical it was for VW to pay a dealership to perform hands-on work that could be accomplished via OTA.

Confirming that OUE7 also appears in my My VW app referring to 3.8.11 here in Arizona. Issued 9/30/2025.

Oddly, several months back, I had my first and only OTA appear on the infotainment screen when I got home. Since I was going to use the car again shortly and had previously been warned that updates could take hours during which time the car would not be driveable, I regretfully declined the offer to update, figuring it would offer to update again later. But it never did.

Given VW's software reliability and that they sent out this OTA as a service campaign, I'm not holding my breath that I'll see the OUE7 update in my car.
