Anybody who has turned on Travel Assist without the capacitive steering wheel, how bad is it really? How often does it "ping" you?
I've had an A4 and currently in an MG5, both with "Travel Assist" and both without a capacitive steering wheel, so I'm pretty used to it and used to having to give the wheel a wiggle. I presume as I can turn it off easily there's no real disadvantage in enabling it anyway?

Try rebooting the infotainment after coding with obdeleven - like hold down the power button on the left until the screen blacks out.

Keyfob window rollup and Windows up on vehicle lock are not working anymore although they are active in the adaptation menu, anyone faced similar situation or know how to deal with it?

Is there any way to have the sunroof open/close in the Keyfob window rollup mod
I tried the following without success, that was prior to 3.1 being released so not tested since the update.

Module: CA Sunroof
Adaptations
power sunroof control module - convenience function
convenience_opening_roof_blind
Default: Not Active, changed to Active
convenience_close_roof_blind
Default: Not Active, changed to Active

To my surprise it was active out of the box.
But not functioning in opening. But it does in closing which is a relief to me.

Finally after 40 days of delays got my 21 ID4 updated. Has anyone experimented on Travel link activation to revert to V2.1 way? The current on/off->travel link-> set seems to be cumbersome.
If it’s an ongoing effort I’d also like to contribute.

Don’t you just leave the top button on all the time? I think both of my VW’s I never turn it off… I can just hit “set” (on the Golf) or TravelAssist (on the ID.4). And it always shows me surrounding traffic when I activate the ADAS mode on the dash display. If I turn it off, that disappears.

Forgive the noob questions:

1. Am I supposed to leave my OBDEleven plugged into my OBD port all the time? Or just when I want to modify something?
2. I have the basic OBDEleven plan (where I have to buy credits to use the apps) and haven't yet built up the courage to try this out 😰--Am I limited to just the "one-click apps," or will I be able to get into the other codes and mods without signing up for Ultimate or Pro?

1. No, only plug the dongle when you need to use it.

2. With the basic plan you can use one click apps as long as you buy credits and you can read data available from the multiple modules in your vehicle. You cannot make modifications to your vehicle, outside the one click apps, unless you purchase a yearly Pro or Ultimate plan.

Long Coding dosent use any credits ( and this is how obdeleven collect data and design one click app for non advanced users).
Obdeleven is very complex and difficult for beginners.....do not attempt long coding if you are not familiar with coding.
Getting in touch with someone who is experienced, would be best way to learn how to use, and what not to ever preform using obdeleven.
Obdeleven has limitations, like if you wipe module, you will not be able to flash module using obdeleven and etc.
Experienced users usually have subscription to service manuals, wiring schematics and other things that are interested in exploring.

VW Technician - thanks for all great info and knowledge on this board. Can you look at my post #816. It looks like I still have the mods I made in 2.4 after I upgraded to 3.1.0. I heard all mods were wiped out with the upgrade. Thanks

Questions after 3.1.0 update. Had a MY21 FE and made 3 changes using OBDeleven for control unit 08 AC.
1. temp off set to summer
2. behavior of compressor during moderate temperature
3. blower adjustment to set up more air
i heard all mods get deleted with the update but not sure my mods were deleted. I connected to the car and it shows on the app the mods are still there. Does that mean I still have my mods?
thanks for anyone who can provide info.
I'm not aware of climatronic module firmware update.... if they are still the way you have it set....i would not worry about it.
Just remember that besides hood open ....for some modules you will have to preform additional step .... safety belt in locked position, when using obdeleven after software update.

I've got and old (v1) ODB11 unit. Managed to make a couple of changes to my 3.2 car in 5A, but I don't believe that one is SPF protected.

Any apps or adaptations I try on SPF units such as gateway I get either unknown error or SPF failed.
Tried hood open and both front passenger seatbelts fastened bit no difference
Any suggestions?

I got the same error message, I checked out the FB group of OBD11 and a lot of people are reporting the same error. Seems like there is a problem with their servers. Let's see what happens after the weekend when OBD11 are back to work.

I didn't check the FB group, as it was the first time I'd tried programming the ID.4 so presumed it was an issue with that.
Thanks so much for the response, will wait and see what they say.

Old dongle is not compatible with ID family....you may face big issues if you continue using old dongle.
